Many Green Day fans were left disappointed after Typhoon Rosie forced the cancellation of their concert at the Mt. Fuji Festival in Japan last weekend (July 26-27). The first day of the festival went on as scheduled Saturday until the huge hurricane attacked around the same time that Red Hot Chili Peppers began to play. The Chili Peppers were cut short and it was over for the day. The festival site was destroyed and the rest of the festival was canceled. Then Green Day, the Chili Peppers, the Foo Fighters, Beck and Prodigy went to an amusement park.
The single will probably be a song called "Happy Grouch." The album will be close to the extreme of 72 minutes of music but it'll still fit on a single disk. The first single will be out around Labor Day (September 1), and the album will be out in late October.
In other Green Day news, they band should be on tour by early fall. Right now, they are in a California recording studio, mixing and finishing up their new album, "Nimrod." According to a band website, the following are some of the song titles: "Uptight," "Prosthetic Head," "Hitchin' A Ride," "Good Riddance," "Jinx" and "Haushinka."
