Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) is allegedly facing song theft accusations from a musician who says that Reznor stole six of his songs after the two met in an online chat room.
The Associated Press reports that Mark Nicholas Onofrio has filed a complaint in Los Angeles federal court claiming that Reznor used five of his songs on the NIN 1994 album "The Downward Spiral" and claiming that one other song, "Burn" on the "Natural Born Killers" soundtrack closely resembles to another track he sent to Reznor. Onofrio said that he met Reznor online, asked if Reznor would listen to some of his work, and then mailed a demo to Reznor's house.
As of the writing of this article, there is no word of defense from Reznor's side, but we'll keep you updated.
