Jurors in a Seattle, Washington courtroom this week watched Pearl Jam's "Jeremy", during the murder trial of 16-year-old Barry Loukaitis. He's accused of killing three people at a local school last year, and his lawyers say the "Jeremy" video was the cause of his actions. Loukaitis has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
The "Jeremy" video depicts the story of a tormented teenager who attempts to shoot everyone in his classroom after being made fun of by his classmates and ignored by his parents. Pearl Jam's management says Eddie Vedder was inspired to write "Jeremy" from the real story of a Texas teen pushed over the edge.
