Blues Traveler Bassist Arrested

Bobby Sheehan, the bassist for Blues Traveler, was arrested at Winnipeg Airport in Winnipeg Monday night for cocaine posession. The band's record label says that it was "a small amount of cocaine."

Winnipeg City Police say that Sheehan had two grams of cocaine, and that Sheehan is now free on $6,000 bail. He then paid another $5,000 in costs at a Winnipeg courtroom Tuesday morning, where he will return on October 22. Sheehan could serve up to life imprisonment for importation, but Winnipeg police say anything like that is highly unlikely.

This should in no way effect Blues Traveler's tour dates, and they won't cancel their headlining dates or shows for the Rolling Stones.
