Green Day Have Busy Week Planned


      Not only is Green Day's long awaited "Nimrod" album come out this Tuesday, but they have a week full of other plans to go along with it. Green Day already took over KROQ's (LA) morning show from 8-10am on Friday. Here's where they will be, most info courtesy Green Day Online:

  • Sunday October 12 - GD are on Modern Rock Live
  • Monday October 13 - AOL Chat @ 7:00 PM ET, keyword MTV
  • Tuesday October 14 - Green Day's "Nimrod" is released!
  • Tuesday October 14 - GD on "Pinfield Suite" on MTV: 1pm & 1am Tues and Wed.
  • Tuesday October 14 - Howard Stern show in the AM
  • Tuesday October 14 - Late Show with Dave Lettermen in PM
  • Wednesday October 15 - On-air interview at 7:15pm on Q107 in Toronto

          Green Day will also be making appearances on Saturday Night Live and Jay Leno, but dates for these are not confirmed yet. On November 16, 1997, the band will be guests on the show "King Of The Hill." They will have interviews in upcoming issues of Spin, Guitar World, Details and Bikini magazines. 

          Advance copies of the CD are out and reviews of the new album are coming out with it. Rolling Stone gave "Nimrod" 3.5 out of 5 stars, meaning that the album falls between "Good" and "Excellent" on their rating scale. The band's second single from Nimrod will be "Prosthetic Head." After all this action the band will keep it up, going on tour in late October, November, and December.
