Blues Traveler Bassist's Arraignment Scheduled

The arraignment for Blues Traveler bassist Bobby Sheehan has been pushed back to January 12, when we will enter a plea on his drug charges. He was arrested (see Blues Travler Bassist Arrested) on September 29 in Winnipeg Int. Airport for possessing and importing two grams of cocaine while he was on his way to a gig opening for the Rolling Stones in Canada. Sheehan was later released on a $5,000 bond and ordered to return to Winnipeg for a hearing on Wednesday, Oct 22. Sheehan and the band played the at opening for the Stones, regardless of the arrest.

If Sheehan is found guilty on the charges of possession, he may face up to six months in jail and possibly a $1,000 fine. The importing charges will warrant a more strict punishment. A not guilty plea would result in a bench trial at a later date.
