[10-30-97 Thurs] The band Soundgarden has broken up, but their music keeps coming. Not only is their "A-Sides" album, a compilation of greatest hits, coming out November 4, but they might release a live album in the near future. Eight concerts were professionally taped on a mobile studio near the end of their last tour, and now rumors are coming from Seattle insiders that the songs are now being sorted with a live album in mind.
There are not many details right now, but the album may be released in late 1998. A spokesperson for Susan Silver Management said that no decision was made at the time of the recording about the future of these tracks. An A&M Records representative said she was not aware of the project.
