[11-05-97 Wed] Frontman Nick Hexum of 311 has been really busy lately, but spared some time to record a song with The Urge. Hexum used a day off from 311's Transistor tour to record vocals for his old friends, The Urge. After shows in Berkeley, where 311 played in their Halloween costumes, Hexum flew to Reno to help out with the song for an upcoming album for The Urge. The song, which Hexum also wrote some of the lyrics for, is called "Jump Right In." It will be on The Urge's upcoming second album, which should be out next summer. "It'llbe a huge hit," Hexum said.
In other 311 news, they have added some more dates to their current U.S. tour, including Dec. 6 at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert at Universal Amphitheatre, and Dec. 14 at L.A.'s 1000-capacity House of Blues.
