[12-02-97 Tues] The Epitaph Records president, former Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, will temporarily step down from his position while he takes drug addiction treatment. Retail and marketing executive Andy Kaulkin will be the acting president of Epitaph until Gurewitz comes back. The label houses Rancid, NOFX, and many others ...Speaking of Rancid, the band is expected to have a new release out in April 1998 ...After a brief delay because of distribution problems, Nine Inch Nails' two tape home video, "Closure," is finally released. Frontman Trent Reznor comments on the videos as the end of an era. It features concert footage from the '94 to '96 tours as well as director cut versions of NIN videos Currently, Reznor is working on a new album, tentatively called "The Fragile." ...Marilyn Manson have just released a five-song remix EP called 'Remix and Repent'. The collection includes "The Horrible People," a version of "The Beautiful People," a dance mix of "The Tourniquet Prosthetic," live versions of "Dried Up, Tied Up And Dead To The World," "Antichrist Superstar" and an "Acoustic Requiem for Antichrist Superstar" version of "Man That You Fear."
