Dust Brothers Working With Several Artists

[12-03-97 Wed] John King and Mike Simpson, also known as the production team the Dust Brothers, will be working and/or have worked with several artists recently, including Scott Weiland, Marilyn Manson, Smash Mouth - and the creators of South Park. The Dust Brothers have produced hits such as the Beastie Boys "Paul's Boutique" and Beck's "Odelay." They will again work with Beck on his next album, as well as Marilyn Manson.

The Brothers also recently worked with Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland on a new track for the upcoming modern day version of Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations." The song is called "Desperation No. 5" and it will only be in the movie, not on the movie's soundtrack, which will include Weiland's new tune, "Lady Your Roof Brings Me Down," which the Dust Brothers did not help out on.

They will also be collaborating with Smash Mouth for a track on a new Tamera Davis movie called "Half Baked." Last but not least, the two producers are going to be working with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of the Comedy Central's animated hit "South Park." They will turn up on an upcoming soundtrack for another upcoming movie.
